Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on heavy diesel vehicles including trucks, trailers, and earthmoving equipment using diagnostic scanners and manuals
  2. Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and wheel bearing repacks according to manufacturer schedules
  3. Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems, replacing worn or damaged components
  4. Inspect vehicles for compliance with New Zealand’s Certificate of Fitness standards, repairing any defects found
  5. Weld and fabricate components as needed, including brackets, exhaust systems, and chassis repairs

Qualifications
