Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning tasks including vacuuming carpets and hard floors, dusting all surfaces, mopping floors, and sanitising high touch areas like light switches and door handles
- Clean kitchens by wiping countertops, scrubbing sinks, cleaning appliance exteriors, degreasing stovetops, and cleaning inside microwaves when requested
- Clean bathrooms and toilets including showers, bathtubs, basins, mirrors, and toilets, using appropriate disinfectants to remove soap scum, mould, and bacteria
- Clean common living areas by tidying cushions, folding blankets, and arranging items neatly as well as dusting and wiping down furniture
- Follow cleaning schedules for each property, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently within the allocated time
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly, storing them properly after use and reporting any damaged equipment
- Collaborate with team members on larger properties or when covering for absences, communicating clearly about completed tasks and any issues
Qualifications
You need a minimum of one year of professional residential cleaning experience; experience in commercial or office cleaning is not a substitute. A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory because you will travel between homes in Noranda and nearby suburbs. A current National Police Certificate is required. You must have working rights in Australia. Physical fitness is essential for bending, kneeling, lifting cleaning supplies up to ten kilograms, and standing for extended periods.
